Drae Charles served as the Human Rights and Equity Analyst for the City of Eugene, where he played a critical role in advancing the city’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI-B). In this capacity, Drae provided expert staff support and guidance to the Human Rights Commission, ensuring that the commission’s initiatives align with the city's strategic goals and policies.
Drae co-led and facilitated the city’s employee resource groups, fostering an inclusive environment that supports the professional development and well-being of city employees from diverse backgrounds. By promoting open dialogue and collaboration, Drae helped these groups address workplace challenges and advocate for equitable practices within the organization.
Another key aspect of Drae’s role involved collaborating with community stakeholders to combat hate, bias, and discrimination.
